Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a clinical syndrome characterized by sudden decrease in glomerular filtration rate leading to decreased excretion of nitrogenous waste like urea, creatinine and other uremic toxin. Even minor changes serum are associated with increased in-patient mortality.
